Around the world in ....... well who knows!!

I'm a bit of a plan hatcher, I'll be honest. I get a tiny seed of an idea and if I'm passionate about it like to try to make it grow into full bloom. My hubby has accused me on many occasions of planting a seed of an idea in his head that grows into something big!!

The whole idea of a house renovation was *just a thought* discussed in the pub at some point or another. We saw our current house advertised by complete chance after wandering through the area and seeing it in the window of the estate agents. Two days later (and two very sleepless nights I have to say!!) we had our offer accepted and we were making plans to move halfway up the country.

Whilst moshing to a gig at university, we conjured up plans to live in Cornwall for a whole summer which became reality the following June when we packed out camper full of essentials and headed for the west country for three months.

We have a vw camper project sat on our drive after a fleeting passing of a conversation that turned into reality even after we had both sworn never to do a full resto again!

There have been many things like this happen through our lives that started out as a little..... what if..... or do you think we could....... and have amazingly become true. A few sliding doors moments but sometimes honestly you have to take a chance and hope it all works out for the best (in a fingers and toes crossed kind of way!!!).

I like the thought of making a tiny plan and then seeing it turn into something real.

Well, I'm on a bit of a wanderlust at the moment. I love travelling, and have been lucky enough to travel around the world. It is this time of year that I start to get itchy feet about making a plan to go away, often it might be a snowboarding holiday at this time of year, but I have bigger itchy feet to scratch this time!

Reading blogs from around the world I have spotted a few amazing locations that I have just been drooling over to shoot at. One being this place....

I first saw this place here....

So plan hatching.........

I was thinking of trying to organise some kind of trip away that is punctuated by shoots. A kind of
**Round The World In 8 Shoots**
or something along those lines. It would probably be more likely a round Europe in 3 or 4 shoots in my knackered old car, but hey, it never hurts to be optimistic!!

So, I've no idea how long this might take to organise, it might be a winter adventure for next year (a good excuse to head to the Southern Hemisphere if I can sort the cost of the air fair out) and maybe a bit of blog publicity to organise some people to shoot) but let me know what you think peeps.

This is very much a tiny seed of an idea at the moment..... fingers crossed it will grow into something good :)

Garrick and Gemma......

Gemma and Garrick, thanks for being so much fun to shoot, not complaining when I asked you to smooch in front of me, or to trek through the spikey long grass in your flip flops, or even to don matching Fez's in a public place. Thank you for letting me in on your lives for a couple of hours on a sunny sunday afternoon.

Thank you too for the lovely bottles of cider, All I'll just say it didn't last very long after you left *hic*.

A love shoot on a sunny Sunday afternoon.....

This is Garrick and Gemma. They are getting hitched next August yipee.

It took ten years after my hubby and me to get down the aisle after he proposed but these lovely guys have done it the other way around, recently engaged but have been together for years. There is no set path when you love someone, things will be what they will be in their own sweet time and I think Garrick and Gemma prove this.

We got together last Sunday afternoon, and here is just one photo from our session, more to come soon.

Sofas and Sewing machines....

Well lovely peeps, I have been having a couple of weeks off and a great time it has to be said :)

I am steaming through my chores (yipee!) tying up some loose ends that have been dangling for a wee while and finishing off some editing I just hadn't got round to.

My two beautiful nieces came to stay last week as well which was ace. I was seriously the biggest kid amoung them (poor old embarrassing Aunty Beejy). We had bonfires, picked blackberries, made jam, stayed out under the stars, fed the axalotls I'm temporarily looking after (lots of eeeeeeughs as we plopped their food, frozen blood worms, into their tank each morning!) went to the Blists Hill victorian town, learned about machine-y types of things at Enginuity, stroked the cats A LOT (surprised they have any fur left tee hee) went to the park and playground, did a nature trail (my eldest niece was very excited to find a dead but fully preserved frog. I'm just waiting till I rediscover the box she put it into and lost in my house somewhere...), oh yes peeps, I was full on adventure aunty!

Now it is a bit quieter this week (sadly as I miss them like mad and am trying my damn hardest to get them to move closer to me in Shropshire) I'm going to start another little project I have wanted to have a go at for a while. Sewing!

I bought some vintage patterns and in vintage styleeeeee also have an ancient sewing machine to have a go on too. I have no idea if this is going to work or not, but will keep you posted on the outcome!

I have to admit, I was more than a little disappointed with vintage sizing.... a 30 inch waist is marked up as a size 18!!! Surely not everyone was so tiny in the old days?

Other news (Oh my gosh I am getting seriously boring now but...) I bought a new sofa! Piccie below, a lovely 50s style lime green number to go in my back room. The back room also has three 1920's cinema seats, a projector screen and a log burner. It is a seriously snuggley little room during the winter, where you can crank up the log fire and stick a film on the screen. Man, it gets flipping freeeeeeezing in this house in the winter! Starting to feel scared it is nearly already eeeek!

If I'm going to be hanging out in the back room I might need to do something about the back garden......

A tiny touch overgrown some might argue (and *ahem* they would be right!)

A little look back.....

Hello lovlies! I'm having a couple of weeks off from shooting and a major sort out/organise/clear my desk and more or less catch up with myself :)

I had planned this little window ages ago and man I seemed to pick a good time as between sorting out my (mostly fun it has to be said) chores I've been able to kick back in the garden, keep the veg patch topped up with water and see my hubby. I've also got two of my nieces coming to stay next week so I'm really excited! Its such a good excuse to be a BIG kid again tee hee.

While I am having a break I though I would blog a shoot I did earlier this year. I hadn't realised I didn't actually blog it at the time (I just stuck two pics up and promised more...) so here is a mini set of the photos.

I was lucky enough to organise a shoot with a wonderous woman called Chi Chi Revolver who was a full time Hula Hooper.....how cool?! We had a potter around Brighton (I'll be honest, I was kinda hoping for a bit of sunshine and maybe an ice cream!) but on a fairly freezing March day we set about shooting and sheltering in the pub when the rain set in!
