A personal project......

Hello lovely peeps and peepettes. I know, I know, I keep rabbiting on about exciting times but do you know what...I AM excited ha ha! Life is good, and without wanting to tempt fate or anything, I seem to be in an extraordinarily good mood most of the time at the moment. I have even found myself walking about with a bit of a weirdo smile on my face for no reason really!

I think in life it is so important to count your blessings while you have them. I don't want to sound like I'm preaching or anything, but seriously, life is short, and it is up to us to enjoy it RIGHT NOW!!!! Every now and again you hear some sad news that bumps you back to reality of actually how pretty damn good you have it, so get off your ass and have a good time baby! This week, I have heard a couple of those kind of sad stories so I'm on the up to enjoy what I have.

In the spirit of all things good, I'm undertaking a little personal project at the moment. All the pics above are the start of it, they are all my belongings photographed in my home. It is weird to look at my own house and things in a way I would usually approach photographing other peoples, it really freshens the eyes to perspectives! I have also realised it is in need of a good clean eeeep! As with many personal projects, when you put your heart into something, it is easy for it to get a bit bruised, so I am quite nervous about the end result. Fingers crossed you will love it, and I will be able to reveal the whole set of pics in a few weeks time! Nervous!!

Have a great end of the week all and super fab weekend, loads of love to you all

Zoe and Neil - Hitched at Highbury Hall - Wedding

Zoe and Niel - Highbury Hall wedding

Aahhhhh, a super fab venue, Highbury hall is a total gem of a place. It oooozes with arts and craft gorgeousness, black painted walls, art nouveau floral designs, imposing portraits all around and a stunning, light bright central hall.

Yeah, I had quite a good time shooting the wedding day of Zoe and Neil!!

Thanks so much guys for having us a long, what a brilliant day with so many gorgeous little touches. Here is just a mini taster of what is to come, hope you enjoy :)

Emma and Scott- South Farm Wedding

Aaaaah, I am a bit rubbish at this blogging lark no? It has been ages since my last post, but I hope to fix things now and be much more of a regular poster woohoo!

Honestly, there are so many flipping exciting things coming up this year, I'll be jumping at the opportunity to bore the pants off you all with my tall tales and adventures ;)

But before we begin on adventures a new, I wanted to blog about Emma and Scotts super gorgeous red, white and black wedding from December last year.

I woke up on the morning of the wedding to a small, but totally beautiful layer of snow covering all you could see. I was pretty excited as I have always wanted to shoot a wedding with a beautiful snowy backdrop, but equally a bit nervous about the logistics of now getting to the venue. Although I wasn't very far away, even the shortest of journeys in the snow can turn into long laboured travel events in the UK, with us always being told to take blankets, water, food etc even for short journeys!

So it was a quick get ready and an earlier star than planned to make sure we made it to the Church, sorry barn on time!

The odd british weather ha more in store though, and as we sailed up the motorway passing snowy field after slightly less snowy field, the white started to turn back to green and the delicate snowflakes falling back into mushy drizzle. By the time we had reached the venue, there was sadly not a scrap of snow left, just some very soggy puddles and a thick grey sky!

Never be deterred though as we set to work straight away shooting all the gorgeous details Emma had loving put together. Who needed snow anyway huh??! :)

The farm was soooo pretty, with baby piglets, an old farmhouse, tumble down gypsy caravans and old farm machinery dotted about the place. So many great shots to be had.

Emma had a gorgeous vintage dress and red shoes that really just did pop!

Such a brilliant day to be part of, congratulations Emma and Scott!!

Wedding Magazine Feature

ok, ok, I know I have been a bit quiet of late.... have you seen the last post??! Well, I'm glad to report the renovation project is going well although is still a way off from being finished!! More about that another time though....

Yesterday I had a quick Sunday afternoon whizz round Tesco to get a few essentials and spotted the new issue of Wedding Magazine was out.

Well, in a nutshell I felt like a big kid at Christmas. The wedding of Emma and Scott which I shot in December has been featured in it this issue and I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am to have my work on their pages.

I haven't blogged Emma and Scotts wedding yet, and I really want to do a good job and talk about this feature too but for the time being it will have to be a tiny post with a few very snappy snaps as I couldn't wait to share my excitement!!

Thanks guys for stopping by and putting up with my stupid over excitement ha ha, lots of love, Bethan xxx

A small distraction.....

Hello lovely peeps, I hope everyone is good and dandy this lovely Friday!!

I've been a bit quiet on the blog and things recently but not for good reason I promise. As I type this actually, my shoulders are aching from the hard graft I've been putting in the last couple of weeks.... no not from photography (although the day after shooting a wedding I do usually feel like I have been hit by a bus!!) but this time from stripping wallpaper/knocking out kitchens/doing a million trips to the dump....... the list goes on. and on. and on. and on. ah yes, the fun of house renovating!!

My hubby and me recently bought the other portion to the beautiful old school that we live in, and after two years of hard graft renovating the first section we moved into, we now have to start all over again with the other side... gluttons for punishment?? Nah ;) You wouldn't want life to be boring now would you?!

Anyway, I just wanted to explain my temporary disappearance, and show you a couple of photos of the task ahead...... wish us luck!!
